Vogue Paris Rebrands As Vogue France

Iconic fashion magazine Vogue Paris has officially changed its name to Vogue France.

The move is part of a global consolidation plan by Conde Nast of its titles in Europe and reflects a reorganization as it seeks to build global brands.

The name change will reflect on Vogue France's November issue and stars Aya Nakamura, a new generation French icon who has stayed true to herself, despite her fame, and refuses to compromise. She inaugurates the new Vogue and redefines the image of French chic for today and onwards.

'We'll build on a hundred years of defining cultural history, but meet the moment we're in now and most importantly, reflect the France we live in today. Our upcoming issue, launching on November 4th, embodies this manifesto, explores and redefines the cultural richness of France, advocates for both individuality and community and the power of diversity and inclusivity. I am so excited to share more details in the coming days and weeks, and I can't wait for you to see it,' said Head of Editorial Content Eugenie Trochu in an article on Vogue France's website.

Trochu, formerly fashion editor of Vogue.fr, had taken over from Emmanuelle Alt who stepped down earlier this year after a decade as EIC. She reports to Conde Nast's Chief Content Officer Anna Wintour and Vogue's European editorial director Edward Enninful.

Vogue Paris was founded in 1920 (four years after the British edition) and has been the only Vogue edition with the name of a country capital in its title since 1968. It celebrated its 100 year anniversary this year with an exhibition of archives at the Palais Galliera.
