Zara launches new collection with photographer Steven Meisel

Spanish clothing chain Zara has partnered with legendary photographer Steven Meisel to create a collection of men and women's clothing and accessories.

Titled 'Steven Meisel New York' the limited edition collection is Zara's biggest launch of the year and comprises of over 50 products that have been inspired by Meisel's own personal style. It is a nod to Meisel's favorite eras, his hometown, and his longtime collaborators and models.

All of the pieces are in black and come in leather, denim, and faux fur that encompasses jeans, skirts, hoodies, overcoats, parkas, bandannas, Standout pieces include a croc-printed coat, and a lace-up leather skirt influenced by Meisel's favorite decade of the 60's.

To celebrate the launch of the collection, a monochromatic campaign has been released featuring 26 portraits of prominent personalities, such as Amber Valletta, Liya Kebede, Irina Shayk , Gigi Hadid, Kaia Gerber, Penelope Tree, Eva Herzigova, and Alton Mason. In addition to them, Meisel also tapped his model-muse Linda Evangelista who is also the subject of his new book 'Linda Evangelista Photographed by Steven Meisel'. Each of the stars represent Meisel in his truest form and in one way or another, represent different versions of himself.

Priced between 28 USD for a headband and 439 USD for a leather jacket, the Zara x Steven Meisel New York collection will be available at a special Steven Meisel New York pop-up at 33 Howard Street September 9-13 and at Dover Street Market London September 15-17.
