Cartier unveils new Grain de Cafe collection inspired by Coffee Beans

French luxury Jeweler Cartier has released a new 'Grain de Cafe' collection inspired by coffee beans.

The glamorous high-jewelry collection comprises of Bracelets, Brooches, Earrings, Necklaces, and Rings in yellow gold all of which have been given a contemporary revival combining the glamour of the 1950s French Riviera with the radiant beauty of Grace Kelly. Combining mobility and sensuality, 30 craftsmen participated in the creation of this collection and more than 60 prototypes were required to multiply radiance and shimmer.

The 'Grain de Cafe' was originally unveiled in 1938 by iconic Creative Director Jeanne Toussaint. The coffee bean-inspired collection gained prominence globally during the '50s, after it was worn by Audrey Hepburn and the newly crowned Princess Grace Kelly of Monaco.

To mark the release of the collection, Cartier has released a film by American director Alex Prager featuring actress Elle Fanning, Global Ambassador of the Maison and face of the 'Grain de Cafe' collection. Shot on the French Riviera, the campaign pays tribute to Grace Kelly and her intrinsic links to both the French Riviera and the golden age of Hollywood.

'Grain de Cafe creates a new preciousness by playing with light, finishes and volumes. The result is a versatile collection with added spirit. A symbol of the creative freedom of the Maison, Grain de Cafe transcends a literal translation of nature and results in a multi-sensory design,' said Marie-Laure Cerede, Creative Director of Jewelry and Watchmaking.
