Richard Bernardin is a Canadian photographer and visual artist based in Montreal, Quebec. He is best known for his stunning black and white photography, which often features landscapes, cityscapes, and portraits.

Born in Montreal in 1975, Richard developed an interest in photography at a young age. He began taking pictures of his family and friends with a simple point-and-shoot camera. As he grew older, he began to experiment with different techniques and styles of photography.

In 1997, Richard enrolled at the University of Quebec in Montreal to study photography. During this time, he developed his signature style of black and white photography that has become so recognizable today. After graduating from university in 2001, Richard began working as a freelance photographer for various magazines and newspapers.

In 2004, Richard released his first book of photographs entitled "The City". This book featured stunning black and white images of Montreal's urban landscape. Since then, Richard has released several other books including "The Landscape" (2006), "The People" (2008), and "The World" (2010). His work has been featured in numerous exhibitions around the world including the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.

Today, Richard continues to work as a freelance photographer while also teaching workshops on photography at various institutions across Canada. He is highly respected within the photographic community for his unique vision and dedication to his craft.
