Jessica Craig-Martin is an American photographer and artist based in New York City. She is best known for her vibrant, often humorous photographs of celebrities, socialites, and everyday people.

Craig-Martin was born in San Francisco in 1965. She studied at the San Francisco Art Institute before moving to New York City in 1988 to pursue a career in photography. She quickly established herself as a sought-after photographer, shooting for magazines such as Vogue, Vanity Fair, and GQ. Her work has also been featured in numerous exhibitions around the world.

In addition to her commercial work, Craig-Martin has also created several series of personal photographs that explore themes of identity and belonging. Her series “The Social Scene” (2002) captures the glamour and excess of New York’s elite social circles while her series “The Outsiders” (2005) focuses on those living on the fringes of society.

Craig-Martin’s work has been widely praised for its wit and insight into contemporary culture. In 2009 she was awarded the International Center of Photography Infinity Award for Applied/Fashion/Advertising Photography. She continues to live and work in New York City where she is currently working on a new series exploring the relationship between art and technology.
