Swedish label "Flattered" launches sustainable sneakers

'Flattered' has launched its first sneaker.

Since its launch in 2013 with flat ballet flats, the Swedish label has grown collectively with a full range of footwear. The brand's name is derived from the Swedish term for "flat ballerinas". Its collections are defined by modern shapes and materials while all of its footwear are designed in Stockholm and handcrafted in Spain.

Flattered's debut sneaker is minimalistic and consists of white leather, and a cream-colored sole made of eco-rubber with fillers of natural origin such as Tencel, cork, and sisal. The leather is chrome and metal-free and the laces and textile details are made from eco and natural materials. In keeping with the history of the brand, it bears the name "Stockholm".

Flattered is also devoted to sustainability and combines it effortlessly with Fashion in all of its products. The shoes are made from 50 percent chrome-free leather, shoe boxes are made from recycled paper without adhesives and dyes, the dust bags are made from certified organic cotton and fair wood.

Flattered's sustainable sneaker will be available from January 31, 2020, in sizes 36 to 46.
