New CEOs at Christopher Kane and Bottega Veneta

French luxury goods group Kering announced the appointment of new CEOs at both Christopher Kane and Bottega Veneta.

The new appointments are part of a management reshuffle of the group’s luxury division.

Sarah Crook will take up the role of CEO at Christopher Kane from 17 November. Previously strategic brand and business consultant to the British Fashion Council and leading fashion brands for two years, Crook worked at Stella McCartney between 2004 and 2012, first as merchandise and business development director and then as vice-president. "I’m confident that both her strong merchandising and commercial skills and her extensive expertise in business development acquired over the years will benefit the Christopher Kane brand in its strategic expansion,” said Marco Bizzarri, CEO of Kering’s ‘Luxury - Couture & Leather Goods’ division.

Crook succeeds Alexandre de Brettes who was appointed a little more than a year ago and recently completed the integration of the label within the Kering Group. He will remain within Christopher Kane to ensure a smooth transition, before taking another position within the group.

Carlo Alberto Beretta will take up the role of CEO of Bottega Veneta from 7 January, and will report to Marco Bizzarri, CEO of Kering's Luxury - Couture & Leather Goods' division. "[He] has the skills and experience necessary to build on the work done so far and to continue supporting the growth of the brand globally." he told WWD. Bizzarri meanwhile thanked de Brettes for his dedication to Christopher Kane and for having successfully accomplished the integration of the brand within the Kering group. Bizzarri will keep the role of president of Bottega Veneta in order to assure smooth transition.
