Yasuhiro Mihara began his shoe label “Mihara Yasuhiro” in 1997. The collection was distributed to 50 high profile accounts a year later.

In 1998 his first store, SOSU (“prime number”), was established in Aoyama Tokyo. After establishing himself in the footwear market, Mihara decided to expand his creative realm and began to design apparel for men and women this same year.

Mihara made his worldwide debut with Mihara Yasuhiro at 2002’s Pitti Uomo in Florence, Italy. He also expanded his operations to include a second SOSU store in Minami Horie, Osaka that year.
