Yoon Jung Jang is a South Korean photographer and visual artist. She was born in Seoul, South Korea in 1983 and has been living and working in the city ever since.

Jang began her career as a photographer in 2006, when she graduated from the Seoul Institute of the Arts with a degree in photography. Since then, she has become known for her unique style of photography that combines elements of documentary and fine art. Her work often focuses on themes such as identity, memory, and the human condition.

Jang has exhibited her work extensively throughout South Korea and internationally, including at the Seoul Museum of Art, the Gwangju Biennale, and the International Center of Photography in New York City. She has also been featured in numerous publications such as Vogue Korea, Harper’s Bazaar Korea, and The New York Times Magazine.

In addition to her photographic work, Jang is also an active member of the Korean photography community. She is a founding member of the Seoul Photo Collective and serves on the board of directors for PhotoWings Korea. She is also an active mentor to young photographers through her involvement with various educational programs.

Jang’s work continues to be recognized for its unique vision and powerful storytelling capabilities. Her photographs have been collected by institutions such as The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City and The National Museum of Modern Art in Tokyo.
