Tian Xing is a Chinese photographer and visual artist based in Beijing. He is best known for his unique and captivating images of everyday life in China.
Tian Xing was born in Beijing in 1985. He studied photography at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, graduating with a degree in photography and video art. After graduation, he began working as a freelance photographer, shooting for various magazines and newspapers.
In 2010, Tian Xing's work was featured in the prestigious Pingyao International Photography Festival, where he won the Grand Prize for his series of photographs entitled "The City". This series captured the hustle and bustle of everyday life in Beijing, from street vendors to commuters on their way to work.
Since then, Tian Xing has gone on to exhibit his work around the world, including at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City and the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. His photographs have also been featured in numerous publications such as Time Magazine, The New York Times Magazine, and National Geographic.
