Ruth Hogben is a British photographer and filmmaker whose work has been featured in publications such as Vogue, Dazed & Confused, and i-D. She is known for her bold and innovative approach to fashion photography, often combining elements of performance art with traditional portraiture.

Hogben was born in London in 1982 and grew up in the city's East End. She studied at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, where she developed an interest in photography. After graduating, she began working as a freelance photographer for magazines such as The Face and Arena Homme +.

In 2008, Hogben was commissioned by SHOWstudio to create a series of short films featuring fashion designer Gareth Pugh. The films were critically acclaimed and won numerous awards, including the Grand Prix at the International Festival of Fashion Photography in Hyères.

Since then, Hogben has gone on to collaborate with some of the world's leading fashion designers including Alexander McQueen, Vivienne Westwood, and Jean Paul Gaultier. Her work has been exhibited at galleries around the world including the Victoria & Albert Museum in London and the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.

In addition to her photography work, Hogben has also directed music videos for artists such as Lady Gaga and Florence + The Machine. She is currently based in London where she continues to create groundbreaking images that challenge traditional notions of beauty and identity.
