Petros Studio is a photography studio based in Athens, Greece. Founded in the early 1900s by Petros Papadopoulos, the studio has been a family-run business for over 100 years. Petros was born in 1885 and grew up in a small village near Athens. He had an early interest in photography and began taking pictures of his family and friends at a young age.
In 1906, Petros opened his first studio in Athens. He quickly gained recognition for his unique style of photography, which focused on capturing the beauty of everyday life. His work was featured in several magazines and newspapers throughout Greece, and he soon became one of the most sought-after photographers in the country.
Throughout his career, Petros traveled extensively throughout Europe to capture stunning landscapes and cityscapes. He also photographed many famous people including politicians, actors, musicians, and athletes. His work has been exhibited around the world and is still highly sought after today.
Petros passed away in 1965 at the age of 80 but his legacy lives on through Petros Studio which is now run by his son George Papadopoulos who continues to carry on his father’s vision for capturing beautiful moments with a camera lens.
