Nicholas was born in New York City and grew up in a creative family. His father was an artist and his mother was a fashion designer. From an early age, Nicholas was exposed to art and photography, which sparked his interest in the medium. He began taking pictures with his father's camera at the age of 12 and quickly developed a passion for photography.

After high school, Nicholas attended the School of Visual Arts in New York City where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Photography. His work has been featured in numerous exhibitions around the world including at The Museum of Modern Art in New York City and The Louvre in Paris. He has also published several books featuring his work including "The World Through My Lens" (2008) and "A Journey Through Time" (2012).
