Marie Tomanova is a Czech-born photographer and visual artist based in New York City. She is best known for her vibrant, surrealistic images that explore the relationship between the human body and nature.

Born in Prague in 1988, Marie developed an early interest in photography and art. She studied at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague before moving to New York City to pursue her career as a photographer.

Marie's work has been featured in numerous publications including Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Elle, and The New York Times Magazine. Her photographs have also been exhibited at galleries around the world including the Museum of Modern Art in New York City and the National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C.

In addition to her photography work, Marie is also an accomplished filmmaker. Her short films have been screened at film festivals around the world including Cannes Film Festival and Sundance Film Festival. She has also directed music videos for artists such as The xx and Florence + The Machine.

Marie's work is characterized by its dreamlike quality and its exploration of themes such as identity, femininity, nature, and mortality. Through her art she seeks to create a dialogue between viewers and their own inner worlds.
