Maarten Alexander is a Dutch photographer and filmmaker based in Amsterdam. He has been working in the industry for over 10 years, specializing in fashion, beauty, and lifestyle photography. His work has been featured in publications such as Vogue, Elle, GQ, and Harper's Bazaar.
Alexander began his career as a freelance photographer after graduating from the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague. He quickly gained recognition for his unique style of photography which combines elements of fashion and documentary photography. His work often focuses on capturing the beauty of everyday life and exploring the relationship between people and their environment.
Alexander has worked with some of the world's leading fashion brands including Gucci, Prada, Louis Vuitton, and Dior. He has also collaborated with numerous celebrities including Rihanna, Lady Gaga, and Justin Bieber. In addition to his commercial work, Alexander is also an avid traveler who documents his journeys through photography. His travel photos have been featured in National Geographic Magazine as well as other publications around the world.
Alexander is passionate about inspiring others to explore their creativity through photography and filmmaking. He regularly gives lectures at universities around Europe on topics such as visual storytelling and creative expression through art. In 2020 he released his first book titled “The Art of Seeing” which explores how to capture meaningful moments through photography.
