Giseok Cho is a South Korean photographer and visual artist based in Seoul. He is best known for his unique and creative approach to photography, which often combines elements of traditional photography with digital manipulation.

Cho began his career as a photographer in the early 2000s, working as an assistant to several established photographers in Seoul. He quickly developed a passion for the art form and began experimenting with different techniques and styles. His work soon gained recognition from both local and international audiences, leading to numerous exhibitions and awards.

In recent years, Cho has become increasingly interested in exploring the boundaries between photography and other forms of art. He often incorporates elements of painting, sculpture, video art, and installation into his work. His photographs have been featured in numerous publications around the world, including The New York Times Magazine, Vogue Korea, Harper’s Bazaar Korea, and more.

Cho’s work has been exhibited at galleries around the world including the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, the National Museum of Modern Art in Tokyo, and the Seoul Museum of Art. He has also been featured in several international festivals such as Photo London and Paris Photo. In 2020 he was awarded the prestigious Prix Pictet Award for his series “The Unseen” which explored themes of identity through portraiture.
