Frederik Heyman is a Belgian photographer and visual artist based in Brussels. He is best known for his work in fashion, portraiture, and documentary photography.

Heyman was born in Brussels in 1988. He studied photography at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, graduating with a degree in photography and video art. After graduating, he began working as a freelance photographer for various magazines and publications.

Heyman's work has been featured in numerous exhibitions around the world, including at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City, the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, and the Centre Pompidou in Paris. His photographs have also been published in magazines such as Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, GQ, and The New Yorker.

In addition to his commercial work, Heyman has also created several personal projects that explore themes such as identity and belonging. His series "The Other Side" (2015) examines the lives of immigrants living on the outskirts of Brussels. His series "The Invisible" (2017) focuses on people who are often overlooked or ignored by society due to their physical or mental disabilities.

Heyman's work has been recognized with numerous awards including the Prix de la Photographie Paris (PX3), International Photography Awards (IPA), and Sony World Photography Awards (SWPA). He has also been named one of PDN's 30 Emerging Photographers to Watch (2016).

Heyman continues to live and work in Brussels where he is currently working on new projects exploring themes of identity and belonging.
