About

Danilo Hess is a renowned photographer from Brazil who has been capturing stunning images of the world around him for over two decades. He has traveled extensively throughout South America, Europe, and the United States, and his work has been featured in numerous publications including National Geographic, The New York Times, and Vogue.

Hess was born in Rio de Janeiro in 1975 and grew up surrounded by the vibrant culture of his native city. From an early age he was drawn to photography, and he began taking pictures of his friends and family as a hobby. After graduating from high school, he decided to pursue photography professionally and enrolled at the University of Rio de Janeiro's School of Visual Arts.

During his time at university, Hess developed a passion for documentary photography. He traveled to remote parts of Brazil to capture images that told stories about the people living there. His work soon caught the attention of international publications, and he began to receive commissions from them to document life in other countries around the world.

In recent years Hess has focused on creating fine art photographs that explore themes such as identity, memory, and belonging. His work has been exhibited in galleries across Europe and North America, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. He continues to travel extensively for both commercial assignments and personal projects, always looking for new ways to capture beauty in unexpected places.
