Chien-Wen Lin is a Taiwanese photographer and visual artist based in New York City. She is best known for her vibrant and colorful photographs that explore the relationship between people and their environment.

Lin was born in Taipei, Taiwan in 1983. She studied photography at the National Taiwan University of Arts, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2006. After graduation, she moved to New York City to pursue her career as a photographer.

Lin's work has been featured in numerous exhibitions around the world, including the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City, the International Center of Photography (ICP) in New York City, and the Taipei Fine Arts Museum in Taiwan. Her photographs have also been published in various magazines such as Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, and Elle.

In addition to her photography work, Lin is also an active member of the art community. She has served as a judge for several international photography competitions and has been invited to speak at various events related to photography and art. In 2018, she was awarded the prestigious Prix Pictet Award for her series "The Human Condition".

Lin continues to explore new ways of expressing her vision through photography and other mediums such as video art and installation art. Her work often focuses on themes such as identity, memory, nature, and culture.
