Chian Oncu is a Turkish photographer and visual artist based in Istanbul. He is best known for his unique and captivating images of the city's urban landscape.

Oncu was born in Istanbul in 1985 and grew up surrounded by the city's vibrant culture. He developed an early interest in photography, which he pursued throughout his teenage years. After graduating from high school, Oncu attended Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts, where he studied photography and visual arts.

In 2010, Oncu began to focus on street photography, capturing the everyday life of Istanbul's inhabitants. His work has been featured in numerous exhibitions around the world, including at the Istanbul Modern Art Museum and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Rome. His photographs have also been published in several books and magazines, including National Geographic and The New York Times Magazine.

Oncu's work has earned him numerous awards, including the International Photography Award for Best Street Photographer (2014) and the Prix de la Photographie Paris (2015). He has also been featured on CNN International as one of Turkey's most influential photographers.

Oncu continues to explore new ways to capture Istanbul's unique beauty through his lens. His work is a testament to his passion for photography and his commitment to capturing life as it happens on the streets of Istanbul.
