Bona Soetirto is an Indonesian photographer and visual artist based in Jakarta. She is known for her unique style of photography, which combines elements of documentary, fashion, and fine art.

Born in Jakarta in 1985, Bona Soetirto developed a passion for photography at an early age. She began her career as a freelance photographer in 2006, shooting for various magazines and newspapers. In 2008, she was awarded the prestigious Indonesian Photography Award for her work on the theme of “Urban Life”.

In 2010, Bona Soetirto released her first book of photographs entitled “Jakarta: A City of Contrasts”. The book was well-received by critics and won several awards including the Best Photography Book Award from the Indonesian Photographers Association.

Since then, Bona Soetirto has gone on to become one of Indonesia’s most renowned photographers. Her work has been featured in numerous exhibitions around the world including at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City and the National Gallery of Indonesia in Jakarta. She has also been commissioned to shoot for major brands such as Nike and Adidas.

Bona Soetirto’s photography is characterized by its vivid colors and bold compositions that capture everyday life in Indonesia with a unique perspective. Her work often explores themes such as identity, culture, and social issues with a focus on capturing moments that are both intimate and powerful.
