Bharat Sikka is an Indian photographer and visual artist based in New Delhi. He is best known for his work in fashion, portraiture, and documentary photography.

Sikka was born in New Delhi in 1975. He studied at the National Institute of Design in Ahmedabad, India, where he received a Bachelor of Design degree in Visual Communication. After graduating, he worked as a graphic designer for several years before turning to photography full-time.

In 2003, Sikka began his career as a professional photographer with a focus on fashion and portraiture. His work has been featured in numerous publications including Vogue India, Elle India, Harper’s Bazaar India, Marie Claire India, GQ India, and L’Officiel India. He has also shot campaigns for brands such as Nike and Reebok.

In addition to his commercial work, Sikka has also produced several documentary projects that explore issues of identity and belonging within the Indian diaspora. His series “The Other Half” (2008) examines the lives of people living on the margins of society in Delhi; “The Unseen” (2009) looks at the lives of migrant workers from Bangladesh; and “The Unheard” (2010) focuses on the struggles of women living in rural areas of India.

Sikka has exhibited his work internationally at galleries such as The Photographers' Gallery (London), The Museum of Contemporary Photography (Chicago), The Rubin Museum (New York), and The National Gallery of Modern Art (New Delhi). In 2011 he was awarded the Infinity Award for Applied/Fashion/Advertising Photography by the International Center for Photography in New York City.

Sikka continues to live and work in New Delhi where he is currently working on a new series exploring themes of displacement and migration within South Asia.
