Balmain Designs Headphones For Beats By Dr. Dre

Balmain has partnered with Apple to create a special edition version of Beats Powerbeats 3 Wireless earbuds and Beats Studio Wireless over-ear headphones.

In following with its Kardashian connection, the French fashion house tapped none other than Kylie Jenner, to be the face of the new headphone line. Available in two colors: safari (gold metal detailing on tan leather) and khaki (gold metal with army green leather), the two accessories have prominent Balmain labeling. The earpieces come in suede cases embellished with a gold plated Balmain logo.

According to the press release, the product collection was inspired by Olivier's vision for an urban safari. 'Seeing music and fashion as completely intertwined simply reflects how my generation grew up we simply cannot conceive of one without a full helping of the other,' Balmain's creative director Olivier Rousteing said in a statement.

While Kylie Jenner added, 'Beats are my favourite headphones, so this is something I'm passionate about and I'm excited to be a part of this campaign. Music means so much to me. I can put on a song and just escape. I think a lot of people can relate to that feeling,' she said.

Balmain is not the first label to collaborate with Apple. Other labels such as Fendi and Alexander Wang, have previously collaborated with Beats on their own headphone designs.

The Balmain x Beats Studio Wireless ($600) and Powerbeats3 Wireless ($250) are available now on the Balmain website.
