About

Krebber, a name that embodies the spirit of precision and passion, has an illustrious history dating back to 1914. This renowned company was founded by Heinrich Krebber, a postal employee who had an intense passion for precision mechanics. Over the years, he taught himself the art of watchmaking and decided to set up his own business, marking the genesis of Krebber.

In the post-war period, the reins of the business were passed on to Heinz and Theo Krebber Senior. Theo initially aspired to study medicine, but in the aftermath of World War II, this was not an option for him in Germany. He then stepped up to continue his father's work alongside his brother Heinz, with their initial focus on the production of alarm clocks.

Theo and Marga Krebber made a significant contribution to the company's growth in 1954 by opening a jewelry and watch business in Rheydt. However, in 1979, the company faced a severe blow with the unexpected death of Theo Krebber Senior. The business was resilient and continued under the leadership of his wife, Marga Krebber, and their children, Theo Jr. and Sylvia.

The year 1993 marked a pivotal moment in the company's history as Sylvia, along with her husband Georg Buschhüter, decided to open their own store on Hindenburgstraße, dubbed "Juwelier Krebber Mönchengladbach". This new venture was followed by a series of memorable events such as the hosting of a charity gala featuring sports celebrities in 1996 and the Ebel Ski Event in 1998.

In 2007, Krebber made a significant impact in Mönchengladbach by initiating the city's first watch and jewelry salon, "Zeitlos". The company continued to navigate through changes and challenges, such as the move to temporary business premises in 2012 due to the demolition of the Theatergalerie and the Minto building.

Finally, in 2015, Krebber moved into its current location in Minto. The new space, spanning 250 square meters, was meticulously designed to encapsulate the company's passion for watchmaking and jewelry craftsmanship. It also offers an immersive brand experience, notably through the Patek Philippe and Rolex Lounge.

Krebber's journey is a testament to resilience, passion, and the pursuit of precision. The company continues to carve out its own path in the industry, living up to its founder's vision and love for precision mechanics.
