Weekend Max Mara's Pasticcino bag continues its world tour with Special French Edition

Luxury Italian fashion house Max Mara has released a Special French Edition of its iconic Pasticcino bag for summer 2023, as part of its Pasticcino bag world tour.

Titled 'Hommage a la France' the bag pays homage to France by celebrating its heritage in the arts of lace and ceramics. It comes in five beautiful colors inspired by typical macaron flavours - citron, rose, graines de courge, cassis violette and reglisse.

Each bag is numbered and features luxurious Guipure lace made by Master Dentellier Andre Laude, a high-end specialist that has been weaving this noble and precious material since 1850. In this edition, the two signature boules of the clasp are reimagined in enameled ceramica with a crackle effect in customized hues that match the lace.

Weekend Max Mara's Pasticcino bag which was launched back in 2016 has become a collector's item for Weekend Max Mara aficionados. The house started the world tour as a way to celebrate the artistic excellence and craft traditions of various countries on its journey. The first stop was Venice in 2022 which was marked by the release of a special Venice edition Pasticcino as part of its Fall/Winter '22 seasonal collection.
