Yulia Gorbachenko is a Ukrainian-born photographer and visual artist based in New York City. She is best known for her vibrant, surreal images that explore the relationship between humans and nature.

Gorbachenko was born in Ukraine in 1988 and moved to the United States at the age of 12. She studied photography at the School of Visual Arts in New York City, where she graduated with a BFA in 2011. After graduating, she began working as a freelance photographer and has since worked with clients such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, and L’Officiel.

Gorbachenko’s work has been featured in numerous exhibitions around the world, including at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City and the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. Her photographs have also been published in books such as “The Art of Yulia Gorbachenko” (2014) and “Yulia Gorbachenko: A Life In Pictures” (2016).

In addition to her photography work, Gorbachenko is also an active member of the art community. She has served as a mentor for young photographers through organizations such as The International Center of Photography and The School of Visual Arts. She is also an advocate for environmental causes and has collaborated with organizations such as Greenpeace on projects that raise awareness about climate change.

Gorbachenko continues to push boundaries with her work by exploring new mediums such as virtual reality and augmented reality. Her work has been praised for its ability to capture both beauty and emotion while still maintaining a sense of surrealism.
