Visvaldas Morkevicius is a Lithuanian photographer and visual artist based in Vilnius. He is best known for his unique approach to photography, which combines elements of documentary, street, and fine art photography.

Morkevicius was born in Vilnius in 1982. He studied at the Vilnius Academy of Arts, where he received a degree in photography and video art. After graduating, he began working as a freelance photographer and visual artist. His work has been featured in numerous exhibitions around the world, including the International Center of Photography in New York City and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Tokyo.

Morkevicius’s work often focuses on themes of identity, memory, and place. He has traveled extensively throughout Europe and Asia to capture images that explore these themes. His photographs have been published in magazines such as National Geographic and Vogue Italia. In addition to his photographic work, Morkevicius also creates video installations that explore similar themes.

Morkevicius’s work has been recognized with numerous awards, including the Lithuanian National Prize for Photography (2015) and the European Union Prize for Photography (2016). He continues to exhibit his work around the world and is currently working on a new series of photographs exploring the relationship between people and their environment.
