Born in Tokyo, Japan in 1975, Takashi developed an early interest in photography and began taking pictures at the age of 15. After graduating from high school, he attended Tokyo College of Photography and graduated with a degree in photography.

Takashi's work has been featured in numerous publications including National Geographic, Time Magazine, and The New York Times. He has also exhibited his work at galleries around the world including the Museum of Modern Art in New York City and the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography. His photographs have won numerous awards including the International Photography Award and the Lucie Award for Outstanding Achievement in Fine Art Photography.
