About

Pier-Alexandre Gagne is a Canadian photographer and visual artist based in Montreal, Quebec. He is best known for his vibrant and colorful images of urban landscapes, street scenes, and nature.

Gagne was born in Montreal in 1988 and grew up surrounded by art. His father was a painter and his mother was a sculptor, so it was only natural that he would develop an interest in the visual arts. He began taking photographs at the age of 12, using his father's old film camera.

Gagne studied photography at Dawson College in Montreal, where he developed his unique style of photography. After graduating, he began working as a freelance photographer for various publications and companies. His work has been featured in magazines such as National Geographic, The New York Times Magazine, and Vogue Italia.

In addition to his commercial work, Gagne has also exhibited his photographs in galleries around the world. His work has been shown at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Montréal, and the Musée d'art contemporain de Montréal. He has also been featured in several books about photography including "The Art of Street Photography" (2014) and "The Art of Urban Landscapes" (2015).

Gagne's photographs are characterized by their vivid colors and dynamic compositions. He often uses long exposures to capture light trails or motion blur to create abstract images that evoke emotion from viewers. His work is inspired by his love for travel and exploration; he often visits new places to capture unique perspectives on familiar subjects.

Gagne continues to push boundaries with his photography by experimenting with new techniques and exploring different genres such as portraiture and documentary photography. He is passionate about sharing his vision with others through his artistry and inspiring them to explore their own creativity through photography.
