Pani Paul is a Nigerian-born, London-based photographer and filmmaker. She is best known for her vibrant and emotive portraiture, which often explores themes of identity, culture, and the African diaspora.

Paul began her career as a fashion photographer in Lagos, Nigeria in 2011. She quickly gained recognition for her unique style of photography, which blended traditional portraiture with elements of street style and documentary photography. In 2013, she moved to London to pursue a career in photography and filmmaking.

Since then, Paul has worked with some of the world’s leading brands including Nike, Adidas, Vogue Italia, and The New York Times Magazine. Her work has been featured in numerous publications including The Guardian, Dazed & Confused Magazine, and i-D Magazine. She has also exhibited her work at galleries around the world including the Tate Modern in London and the Brooklyn Museum in New York City.

In addition to her commercial work, Paul is also an active advocate for social justice issues such as gender equality and racial justice. She is a founding member of the collective “We Are Here” which works to amplify the voices of marginalized communities through art and activism.

Paul’s work has been recognized with numerous awards including the British Journal of Photography Breakthrough Award (2018) and the International Center of Photography Infinity Award (2019).
