Iakovos Kalaitzakas is a Greek photographer and visual artist based in Athens. He is best known for his work in fashion, portraiture, and documentary photography.

Kalaitzakas was born in Athens in 1982. He studied photography at the Technological Educational Institute of Athens, graduating with a degree in Photography and Audiovisual Arts. After graduation, he worked as a freelance photographer for various magazines and newspapers.

In 2008, Kalaitzakas began to focus on fashion photography, working with some of the most renowned fashion designers in Greece. His work has been featured in numerous publications such as Vogue Italia, Elle Greece, Marie Claire Greece, and L'Officiel Hommes Greece. He has also collaborated with international brands such as Nike and Adidas.

Kalaitzakas has also worked on several documentary projects focusing on social issues such as immigration and poverty. His work has been exhibited at galleries around the world including the Benaki Museum in Athens and the Museum of Contemporary Art of Crete. In 2017 he was awarded the prestigious Hellenic Photographic Society Award for his documentary project “The Other Side” which focused on refugees living in Greece.

Kalaitzakas continues to explore new ways to express himself through his photography while pushing boundaries with his unique vision and style. His work is an exploration of identity, culture, and humanity that speaks to viewers around the world.
