Helena Christensen is a Danish model, photographer, and designer who has been a major force in the fashion industry since the late 1980s. Born in Copenhagen, Denmark on December 25th 1968, Helena was discovered at the age of nine while vacationing with her family in the south of France. She quickly rose to fame as a model and was featured in campaigns for brands such as Revlon, Chanel, and Versace.

In addition to her modeling career, Helena has also pursued photography and design. She has shot campaigns for brands such as Prada and Gap, and has published several books of her photography. Her design work includes collaborations with lingerie brand Triumph International and jewelry line Coomi.

Helena is also an active philanthropist who works with organizations such as UNICEF and The Heart Fund. In addition to her charitable work, she is also an advocate for environmental causes such as climate change awareness.

Throughout her career Helena has been recognized for her contributions to fashion and photography. She was named one of People Magazine's 50 Most Beautiful People in 1991, won the VH1/Vogue Model of the Year Award in 1997, and was inducted into the Danish Fashion Awards Hall of Fame in 2008.
