Christian Anwander is a German photographer and visual artist based in Berlin. He is known for his unique and often surrealistic approach to photography, which combines elements of documentary, fashion, and fine art.

Anwander was born in Munich in 1979 and grew up in the Bavarian countryside. He studied photography at the University of Applied Sciences in Munich, where he developed an interest in documentary photography. After graduating, he moved to Berlin to pursue a career as a freelance photographer.

Anwander's work has been featured in numerous publications including Vogue, GQ, The New York Times Magazine, and The Guardian. His photographs have also been exhibited at galleries around the world including the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City and the Victoria & Albert Museum in London.
