Bhaskar Sancheti is an Indian photographer and visual artist based in Mumbai. He has been working in the field of photography for over a decade, and his work has been featured in numerous publications, exhibitions, and festivals around the world.

Born in Mumbai, Bhaskar developed an interest in photography at a young age. He studied photography at the Sir J.J. School of Art, where he graduated with a degree in Applied Arts. After graduating, he worked as a freelance photographer for several years before establishing his own studio in Mumbai.

Bhaskar's work focuses on capturing the beauty of everyday life and exploring the relationship between people and their environment. His photographs often feature vibrant colors and textures that evoke a sense of nostalgia and emotion. He has traveled extensively throughout India to capture its diverse cultures and landscapes, as well as to other countries such as Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Japan.

Bhaskar's work has been exhibited at various galleries around India including the National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA) in New Delhi; The National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA) in Mumbai; The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya (CSMVS) Museum in Mumbai; The Piramal Art Gallery at NCPA; The Nehru Centre Art Gallery; The Jehangir Art Gallery; The Tao Art Gallery; The Sakshi Gallery; The Chemould Prescott Road Gallery; The Galerie Mirchandani + Steinruecke; Tasveer Artspace Bangalore; Tasveer Artspace Delhi; Tasveer Artspace Kolkata; Tasveer Artspace Pune and many more. His photographs have also been featured at international festivals such as the Angkor Photo Festival (Cambodia), Photo Kathmandu (Nepal), Singapore International Photography Festival (Singapore), Bangkok International Photography Festival (Thailand), Chobi Mela International Photography Festival (Bangladesh) among others.

Bhaskar's work has been published by several magazines including Time Out Magazine India Edition, Harper’s Bazaar India Edition , Vogue India Edition , Elle India Edition , GQ India Edition , Marie Claire India Edition , Outlook Traveller Magazine , Lonely Planet Magazine , Better Photography Magazine , Asian Geographic Magazine among others .

Bhaskar is currently working on several projects that explore themes such as identity politics and gender roles within Indian society . He continues to travel extensively throughout India to capture its unique culture and landscapes .
