Andrea Spotorno is a Chilean photographer and visual artist based in Santiago, Chile. She is known for her vibrant and colorful images that capture the beauty of everyday life.

Spotorno was born in Santiago, Chile in 1985. She studied photography at the University of Chile, where she graduated with a degree in Visual Arts. After graduating, she began working as a freelance photographer and has since worked with many renowned publications such as National Geographic, The New York Times, and The Guardian.

Spotorno’s work focuses on capturing the beauty of everyday life in her native country of Chile. Her photographs often feature vibrant colors and textures that bring to life the unique culture and landscapes of the country. She has traveled extensively throughout South America to capture its diverse cultures and landscapes. Her work has been featured in numerous exhibitions around the world including at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Santiago, Chile; The Photographers’ Gallery in London; and The Museum of Modern Art in New York City.

In addition to her photography work, Spotorno is also an active member of several environmental organizations such as Greenpeace and Sea Shepherd Conservation Society. She is passionate about protecting our planet’s natural resources and works to raise awareness about environmental issues through her art.

Spotorno’s work has been recognized by numerous awards including the International Photography Awards (IPA) for Best Photojournalism Series (2015) and Best Nature Photo Series (2016). Her photographs have also been featured on various media outlets such as BBC News, CNN International, National Geographic Magazine, The Guardian, El País, La Nación Argentina, among others.
