| Anmerkungen: | Veronica Webb graduated from a private school and moved to New York City to study animation at the PARSONS SCHOOL OF DESIGN. In 1985, she had just begun working in a Soho housewares shop, when a talent scout approached her and encouraged her to attempt the road to modelling. After Bruce Weber photographed Veronica just one time, the calls started coming in.
Veronica moved to Paris to pursue her career and started working for top designers. In 1992 she signed a major cosmetics contract for Revlon 'Colourstyle' and became the first black model to do so. When she returned to New York she landed film roles, her debut being 'Jungle Fever'; she also had a part in 'Malcolm X'.
Veronica became the editor-at-large for Interview magazine and has written articles for Elle, Details, The Paper and the New York Times.
She has hosted her own chat shows and recorded a single with Prince called 'Pussy Control'.
Veronica dedicates time to several charities. She sits on the board of LIFEBEAT, an organization formed by the music industry that raises funds for AIDS research, and participates in the NATIONAL BREAST CANCER COALITION, helping to raise over two and a half million signatures needed to have breast cancer declared a national health epidemic. In addition, she is a member of the DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL COMMITTEE and THE WOMEN'S LEADERSHIP FORUM.
