Model Of The Week: Neele Hoeper

Each week, we take the time to highlight one of our favorite emerging models. Previously, we profiled Dutch model Linda Crooijmans and this week we're turning our attention to Neele Hoeper. The Bavarian native is one half of a true pair of model twins taking the fashion world by storm. Together with her sister Inka, the sibling duo (collectively known as Hoeper Twins) are one of fashion's fastest rising duo and are loved by the likes of all. Aside from striking symmetry is their real sense of sisterhood and they're inseparable both professionally and personally.

We caught up with Neele to talk about her career so far, her mystical twin connection and plans for the future.

Have you always wanted to be a model? If not, what did you want to be growing up?
No, I never thought about modeling. I was scouted a few times when I was really young but I was still in school. But somehow one scout convinced me while I was 15 and thats how everything started. I guess if I didn't start my journey as a model I would see myself doing something with art.

How were you scouted?
While shopping with my mum and my twin sister in a small town in Germany.

How would you describe yourself as a model in three words?
Adaptable (versatile), disciplined and punctual.

Your first modeling job?
I was shooting a campaign for a Italian designer in Milan. It was my first time taking a plane.

What is your favorite or most exciting aspect about being a model?
The traveling is my favorite part of modeling. I also love to create art and story's with different people. Every day is different.

Is there anyone that you admire as a role model and why?
Natasha Poly is my favorite model. She is working so hard and she deserves her career. I also admire Claudia Schiffer. All her pictures tell a story.

What's been your biggest OMG moment to date?
Working for H&M divided in NYC. I also loved working with Ellen von Unwerth. I was so happy creating a story with her. Her work is unique. Another shoot to remember is my work with the amazing Rankin!!! He is one of the most creative humans I ever met!

What is your dream shoot/campaign?
My dream is to work for Victoria's Secret.

Biggest lesson that modelling has taught you?
Don`t plan. You never know where you might work tomorrow. Always have your passport and be prepared to travel far.

What's the best life advice you've ever received?
When you do things from your soul, you feel a river moving in you, a joy. Where there is ruin, there is hope for a treasure. Everything in the universe is within you. Ask all from yourself. (Rumi)

How do you stay in shape?
I workout daily and I love eating healthy. Its my passion. I love yoga and pilates.

What do you think about fashion? What does it mean to you?
You can express yourself. You show something hidden in your soul... the art....you can play with fashion. It can make you really happy. For me fashion is the creative part everyone has....You can connect with people also. Its just amazing.

If you had to be head to toe in one designer brand for the rest of your life, which would it be?
Yves Saint Laurent!

How would you describe your style?
It's always changing! Fashion is so personal and I'm always the happiest wearing what I think is beautiful and not caring what everybody thinks. I'm a bit obsessed with the color pink!

Denim or leather?
Denim! Or vegan leather

Heels or flats?
Doc Martens please!

Vintage or contemporary fashion?
Definitely a mix of both.

What is your guilty pleasure?
I love handbags and sunglasses. You can't have too many...

What's been your most indulgent purchase since you became a model?
A vintage Chanel 2.55 bag

If you were an emoji, which would you be and why?
The leopard emoji. The leopard is my favorite animal.

When you're not busy modeling, what are some of your favorite things to do?
I love to do yoga and to meditate. I also like vegan cooking and baking. In my free time I paint a lot, read books, study for my online school, go with my dogs for long walks. I love being in nature.

What are you working on now and what do you dream of happening in the future?
I have to remind myself sometimes to live in the present, in the moment. Yoga helps me to mediate and to be in peace and have a balanced life... also writing and painting are the things I do every day...I'm working on writing a book in the future.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years' time?
Having a healthy mind and body.
