Steen Sundland is a Norwegian photographer and visual artist based in Oslo. He is known for his unique and captivating images that explore the relationship between nature, culture, and the human experience.

Sundland was born in Norway in 1975 and grew up surrounded by nature. His love of photography began at an early age, when he would take pictures of his family and friends. After graduating from high school, he studied photography at the University of Oslo, where he developed his skills as a photographer.

In 2000, Sundland began to focus on landscape photography, capturing the beauty of Norway's natural environment. His work has been featured in numerous publications including National Geographic and The New York Times Magazine. He has also exhibited his work in galleries around the world, including the Museum of Contemporary Art in Oslo and the International Center for Photography in New York City.

In addition to his photographic work, Sundland is also an accomplished filmmaker. He has directed several short films that have been screened at film festivals around the world. His most recent film project was a documentary about climate change called "The Human Element".

Sundland's work has been recognized with numerous awards including the Hasselblad Masters Award for Photography (2015) and the Norwegian Cultural Council's Artist Prize (2016). He continues to explore new ways to capture the beauty of nature through his art.
