About

Pierpaolo Ferrari is an Italian photographer and artist best known for his surreal, dreamlike images. Born in Milan in 1965, Ferrari studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera and the Istituto Europeo di Design. He began his career as a fashion photographer, shooting for magazines such as Vogue Italia and Harper's Bazaar.

In the late 1990s, Ferrari began to explore more personal projects, creating surreal images that often featured religious iconography and references to classical art. His work has been exhibited in galleries around the world, including the Palazzo Reale in Milan and the Museum of Modern Art in New York. He has also collaborated with brands such as Gucci, Prada, and Louis Vuitton.

Ferrari's work has been featured in numerous books, including his own monograph Pierpaolo Ferrari: The Book of Dreams (2009). He is also a founding member of the photography collective OjodePez, which produces documentary films about social issues around the world. In addition to his photography work, Ferrari is also a sculptor and painter whose works have been exhibited at galleries throughout Europe.
