Michal Kar is a Polish photographer and visual artist based in Warsaw. He is best known for his surreal and dreamlike images that explore the boundaries between reality and fantasy.

Kar began his career as a photographer in the early 2000s, working on fashion and advertising campaigns for various brands. His work soon caught the attention of art galleries, which began to showcase his photographs. In 2008, he had his first solo exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw.

Since then, Kar has gone on to exhibit his work in numerous galleries around the world, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, the Tate Modern in London, and the Centre Pompidou in Paris. His photographs have also been featured in publications such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, and The New York Times Magazine.

In addition to his photography work, Kar has also created several short films that have been screened at film festivals around the world. He has also collaborated with other artists on various projects, including a series of installations for an exhibition at the National Museum of Contemporary Art in Warsaw.

Kar’s work often explores themes of identity and memory through dreamlike imagery that blurs the lines between reality and fantasy. His photographs are characterized by their vivid colors and surreal compositions that evoke a sense of mystery and wonderment.
