Michael Dürr is a German photographer and visual artist based in Berlin. He is known for his unique style of photography, which combines elements of documentary, fashion, and fine art.

Dürr was born in Berlin in 1975 and grew up in the city's Kreuzberg district. He studied photography at the University of Applied Sciences in Bielefeld, Germany, where he graduated with a degree in photography and media design. After graduating, he worked as a freelance photographer for various magazines and newspapers before eventually establishing his own studio in Berlin.

Dürr's work has been featured in numerous publications including Vogue, GQ, Elle, Harper's Bazaar, and The New York Times Magazine. His photographs have also been exhibited at galleries around the world including the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City and the Victoria & Albert Museum (V&A) in London.

In addition to his commercial work, Dürr has also created several personal projects that explore themes such as identity, gender roles, and social issues. His most recent project is a series of photographs that document the lives of refugees living in Germany.

Dürr's work has earned him numerous awards including the International Photography Award (IPA) for Best Documentary Series (2015), the Sony World Photography Award for Best Portrait Series (2016), and the Prix Pictet Award for Human Rights (2017). He has also been named one of PDN’s 30 Emerging Photographers to Watch (2018).
