Lina Scheynius is a Swedish photographer and visual artist based in Stockholm. She is best known for her intimate, dreamy, and often surreal photographs of everyday life.

Scheynius was born in Stockholm in 1982 and began taking photographs at the age of 15. She studied photography at the University of Gothenburg, graduating in 2006. After graduation, she moved to London to pursue a career as a professional photographer.

In 2008, Scheynius released her first book of photographs entitled "A Year With Lina". The book was an immediate success and established her as one of the most important emerging photographers of her generation. Her work has since been featured in numerous publications including Vogue, Dazed & Confused, and The New York Times Magazine.

In addition to her photography work, Scheynius has also exhibited her artwork in galleries around the world including the Museum of Modern Art in New York City and the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. She has also collaborated with fashion designers such as Acne Studios and Alexander Wang on various projects.

Scheynius' work is characterized by its dreamy aesthetic and its focus on capturing everyday moments that are often overlooked or forgotten. Her photographs are often described as being both intimate and surreal at the same time. Her work continues to inspire photographers around the world with its unique vision and style.
