Born in Moscow, Russia, Lena was exposed to art from a young age. Her mother was an artist and her father was a photographer, so it was only natural that she would develop an interest in photography. She began taking pictures at the age of 12 and quickly developed a passion for it.

In 2006, Lena moved to New York City to pursue her dream of becoming a professional photographer. She attended the School of Visual Arts where she studied photography and digital media. After graduating in 2010, she began working as a freelance photographer for various publications and brands.
