Kuo Huan Chung is a Taiwanese photographer and visual artist. He was born in Taipei, Taiwan in 1965 and has been living and working in the city ever since.

Chung began his career as a photographer in the late 1980s, when he started to take pictures of everyday life in Taiwan. His work often focuses on the mundane aspects of life, such as street scenes, markets, and people going about their daily routines. He has also documented the changes that have taken place in Taiwan over the years, capturing both the traditional and modern aspects of life on the island.

Chung's work has been exhibited widely throughout Asia, Europe, and North America. His photographs have been featured in numerous publications including The New York Times Magazine, Time Magazine, National Geographic Magazine, and The Guardian. He has also won several awards for his photography including the Golden Tripod Award from the Taipei International Photo Festival (2009) and the Grand Prize at the Pingyao International Photography Festival (2013).

In addition to his photography work, Chung is also an active member of various art organizations such as The Photographers Association of Taiwan (PAT) and The Photographic Society of America (PSA). He is currently a professor at National Taiwan University of Arts where he teaches courses on photography and visual arts.

Chung's work continues to be highly acclaimed by critics around the world for its unique perspective on everyday life in Taiwan. His photographs are a testament to his commitment to capturing moments that are often overlooked or forgotten by society at large.
