Kuo Huan Chang is a Taiwanese photographer and visual artist. He was born in Taipei, Taiwan in 1965 and has been living and working in the city ever since.

Chang began his career as a photographer in the late 1980s, when he started to document the everyday life of people living in Taipei. His work has been featured in numerous exhibitions around the world, including at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City and the National Gallery of Canada.

Chang's photography is characterized by its vivid colors and its focus on capturing moments of everyday life. He often uses long exposures to capture light trails from passing cars or people walking through his frame. His work has been described as "poetic" and "lyrical," with an emphasis on capturing fleeting moments that are often overlooked by other photographers.

In addition to his photography, Chang is also an accomplished visual artist who works with digital media, video art, and installation art. His work has been exhibited at galleries around the world, including at the Tate Modern in London and the Centre Pompidou in Paris.

Chang's work has earned him numerous awards over the years, including a Golden Horse Award for Best Cinematography for his film "The Last Train" (2008). He was also awarded a Golden Horse Award for Best Visual Effects for his film "The Great Wall" (2016). In 2020, he was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award from Taiwan's Ministry of Culture for his contributions to Taiwanese photography and visual arts.
