Justin Ervin is an award-winning photographer and filmmaker based in New York City. He has been shooting professionally since 2009, and his work has been featured in publications such as The New York Times, Vogue, GQ, and W Magazine.

Ervin was born in Los Angeles, California and grew up in the San Fernando Valley. He attended the University of Southern California where he studied film production and photography. After graduating, he moved to New York City to pursue a career in photography.

Ervin's work focuses on capturing the beauty of everyday life through his lens. His photographs often feature people from diverse backgrounds and cultures, as well as landscapes from around the world. He has traveled extensively throughout Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America to capture unique images that tell stories about the places he visits.

Ervin's work has been exhibited at galleries around the world including The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City and The Photographers' Gallery in London. He has also won numerous awards for his photography including a Lucie Award for Fine Art Photography in 2017 and a PDN 30 Award for Emerging Photographers in 2018.

In addition to his photography career, Ervin is also an accomplished filmmaker who has directed several short films that have screened at festivals around the world including Sundance Film Festival and Tribeca Film Festival. His most recent film "The Last Black Man In San Francisco" was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Picture in 2020.

Ervin continues to push boundaries with his work by exploring new ways of telling stories through visual media. He is passionate about creating meaningful images that capture moments of beauty and emotion that can be shared with others around the world.
