Fred Meylan is a Swiss photographer who has been capturing stunning images of the world around him for over 30 years. Born in Geneva, Switzerland in 1965, Fred developed an early interest in photography and began taking pictures at the age of 12. After graduating from high school, he attended the University of Lausanne where he studied photography and art history.

In 1989, Fred opened his own studio in Geneva and began to specialize in portrait and fashion photography. His work quickly gained recognition and he was soon featured in magazines such as Vogue, Elle, Marie Claire, and GQ. He also began to travel extensively throughout Europe to capture stunning landscapes and cityscapes.

In 2000, Fred released his first book of photographs entitled “The World Through My Eyes” which showcased his unique vision of the world around him. The book was a huge success and was followed by several other books including “The Beauty of Nature” (2002) and “The Art of Seeing” (2005).

Throughout his career, Fred has won numerous awards for his work including the Prix de la Photographie Paris (PX3) Gold Award for Best Book (2005), the International Photography Awards (IPA) Honorable Mention for Best Book (2006), and the International Color Awards Honorable Mention for Best Portrait Series (2008). His work has been exhibited in galleries around the world including London’s National Portrait Gallery, New York’s Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo’s Mori Art Museum, and Paris’ Centre Pompidou.

Today Fred continues to travel around the world capturing beautiful images that reflect his unique vision of beauty. He currently lives in Geneva with his wife and two children.
