Eli Russell Linnetz is an American photographer, director, and creative director based in Los Angeles. He is best known for his work with Kanye West, Kim Kardashian West, and other celebrities.
Linnetz was born in New York City in 1988. He grew up in a creative family; his father was a photographer and his mother was a painter. From an early age, he was exposed to the world of art and photography. He attended the School of Visual Arts in New York City where he studied photography and film.
In 2011, Linnetz moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in photography. His first major project was shooting the cover of Kanye West's album Yeezus (2013). Since then, he has worked with many high-profile clients including Kim Kardashian West, Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Travis Scott, and more. He has also directed music videos for Kanye West's "Famous" (2016) and "Wolves" (2016).
Linnetz has been featured in publications such as Vogue Magazine, GQ Magazine, W Magazine, The New York Times Magazine, and more. His work has been exhibited at galleries around the world including the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago and the Museum of Modern Art San Francisco. In 2018 he released his first book titled Eli Russell Linnetz: Photographs & Films which showcases his work from 2011-2018.
Linnetz continues to push boundaries with his photography and film projects while inspiring others to create art that is both meaningful and impactful.
