Ed Templeton is an American photographer, artist, and professional skateboarder. Born in 1972 in Orange County, California, Templeton grew up skateboarding and taking photographs of his friends and the skateboarding culture around him. His work has been featured in numerous publications including The New York Times Magazine, The New Yorker, and Juxtapoz Magazine.

Templeton's photography often focuses on the skateboarding culture of his youth as well as the people he encountered while growing up. He has also explored themes of religion, family life, and suburban ennui. His work has been exhibited in galleries around the world including the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles and the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.

In addition to his photography career, Templeton is also a professional skateboarder who has competed in several X Games events. He is a member of the Toy Machine Skateboards team and has released several signature skateboard decks with them over the years.

Templeton's work has been featured in several books including Teenage Smokers (2000), Deformer (2003), Ed Templeton: Photographs (2005), and Teenage Kissers (2008). He currently lives with his wife Deanna Templeton and their two children in Huntington Beach, California.
