Annemarieke van Drimmelen is an award-winning Dutch photographer and filmmaker. She has been capturing the beauty of the world for over a decade, with her work appearing in publications such as National Geographic, The New York Times, and The Guardian.

Born in Amsterdam in 1982, Annemarieke developed a passion for photography at an early age. She studied photography at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague and graduated with honors in 2006. After graduation, she began working as a freelance photographer and filmmaker, traveling around the world to capture stunning images of landscapes, people, and cultures.

In 2008, Annemarieke was awarded the prestigious World Press Photo Award for her series on the effects of climate change on small island nations. Since then she has won numerous awards for her work including the Sony World Photography Award and the International Photography Awards. Her work has been exhibited in galleries around the world including London’s Tate Modern and New York’s Museum of Modern Art.

In addition to her photography career, Annemarieke is also an active environmentalist. She works with organizations such as Greenpeace to raise awareness about climate change and its effects on our planet. She also serves as a mentor to young photographers who are just starting out in their careers.
